Version 2 · in effect since 4 Nov 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "User") and Game Developers Hub (gdhub), operated by Individual Entrepreneur Dzmitry Drynau (individual entrepreneur), legal entity code 306422564, registered at Police Street I Dead End, N5, Samgori District, Tbilisi 0182, Georgia, email office@gdhub.io.

For contact details see Legal Details.

By creating an account, accessing, or using gdhub.io (the "Platform") you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. About the Platform

gdhub is a web portal and software platform for game industry professionals and aspiring game creators. The Platform enables Users to:

  1. Create and present game projects, assemble teams, and track progress through devlog posts.
  2. Publish and browse vacancies ("Open positions") for project roles.
  3. Discover and attend events organised by gdhub or by the community.
  4. Take and complete courses related to game development.
  5. Maintain a public profile, including specialisation, portfolio, and skill information.
  6. Issue and verify certificates of course or event participation.
  7. Communicate with other Users for collaboration purposes.

gdhub does not develop, fund, or own the projects that Users publish. The Platform is a coordination and discovery tool. All decisions regarding project scope, team composition, revenue, equity, intellectual property, and product release belong solely to the project participants.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Platform only if:

  1. You are at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction (whichever is higher);
  2. You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract;
  3. You are not barred from using the Platform under the laws of your country, Georgia or the European Union;
  4. You provide accurate registration information.

To buy a paid service (Section 8) you must be at least 18 years old with full legal capacity, or act for a company or organisation as its authorised representative.

If you use the Platform on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Account Registration & Security

  1. To access most features you must register an account and complete the onboarding flow (interests, role, specialisation).
  2. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for every action performed under your account.
  3. You must notify gdhub immediately at office@gdhub.io if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  4. gdhub may, at its sole discretion, suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, infringe third-party rights, or pose a security risk.
  5. You may delete your account at any time from profile settings. Public artefacts you have contributed (e.g. devlog posts, project pages, comments) may be retained in anonymised form where necessary to preserve the integrity of collaborative work, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

4. User Roles

Within a project, Users may take one or more of the following roles:

  • Author / Project Owner — creates a project, defines its scope, invites participants, and is primarily responsible for the project's content and conduct on the Platform.
  • Team Member / Specialist — joins a project and contributes work (code, art, design, writing, audio, QA, marketing, etc.).
  • Reader / Community Member — browses public content, follows projects, attends events.

Specific role permissions are defined inside the Platform UI and may be updated as the product evolves.

5. User-Generated Content

"User Content" means anything you post, upload, or transmit through the Platform, including project descriptions, devlog posts, comments, vacancy listings, profile data, images, audio, video, links, and code references.

5.1. Your Rights

You retain all ownership rights in your User Content. You are solely responsible for it.

5.2. Licence You Grant to gdhub

By submitting User Content you grant gdhub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, publish, distribute, and otherwise use that content strictly for the purpose of operating, providing, promoting, and improving the Platform, including in newsletters, social media excerpts, and search-engine indexing. This licence ends when you remove the content, except where retention is required by law or to preserve evidence of conduct that violated these Terms.

5.3. Licence to Other Users

By making content public on the Platform you allow other Users to view, share within the Platform, and quote it under fair-use conventions. This does not grant other Users any right to copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit your content outside the Platform without your separate permission.

5.4. Project Ownership Among Team Members

gdhub does not mediate intellectual property between team members of a project. You are strongly encouraged to agree in writing (a team charter, contributor agreement, or operating agreement) on:

  • Who owns the resulting game, code, art, and other deliverables;
  • How revenue, equity, royalties, and credits are split;
  • What happens when a member leaves or the project is dissolved.

gdhub provides templates and guidance in the Equity description and Skill capital documents as a starting point only — they are not legal advice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  1. Post unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, or violent content;
  2. Post content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, moral, privacy, or publicity right;
  3. Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;
  4. Upload viruses, malware, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or limit the Platform or its Users;
  5. Attempt unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, related systems, or other Users' accounts;
  6. Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform except via APIs we explicitly publish, and only within their documented limits;
  7. Use the Platform to send spam, phishing messages, unsolicited advertising, or any commercial messaging outside features intended for that purpose (e.g. vacancies, official announcements);
  8. Recruit Users for purposes unrelated to game development (e.g. MLM, unrelated job offers, paid promotions) without explicit gdhub approval;
  9. Use automated tools (bots, scripts, generators) to create accounts, votes, follows, or any artificial engagement;
  10. Misuse vacancies — every "Open position" must reflect a real role on a real project;
  11. Misuse certificates — you may not issue, request, or display certificates for work or attendance that did not occur;
  12. Use the Platform in any way that violates the law of Georgia, EU law or your local law.

We may remove content and restrict access without prior notice when we reasonably believe it violates this Section 6.

7. Courses, Events & Certificates

  1. Courses and events on the Platform are free of charge. gdhub does not sell access to them.
  2. Certificates issued by gdhub confirm participation or completion based on activity recorded by the Platform. They do not constitute formal accreditation in any jurisdiction unless explicitly stated.
  3. The authenticity of any certificate can be verified at /verify using its unique code.
  4. gdhub is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or outcomes of courses or events organised by third parties through the Platform.

8. Paid Services

Using the Platform is free. Individual Entrepreneur Dzmitry Drynau sells two paid services on it, both software and online platform services:

8.1. Paid Vacancy Listing

  1. A paid vacancy listing is the placement of a listing for an open position on the gdhub.io web portal, for the period the author chooses and no longer than 90 days from its publication. The fee is shown before you pay.
  2. The fee pays for the placement alone. gdhub does not search for, select, refer or place candidates, does not employ anyone or supply personnel to anyone, is not a party to any arrangement between a project and a candidate, and charges no commission on it or on any pay agreed under it.
  3. A listing is moderated under Section 6 and may be removed if it breaks these Terms.

8.2. AI Checkpoint

  1. An AI Checkpoint is an automated software service: for 28 days the Platform's AI curator assesses one project's progress against the goal its owner set, and issues written reviews, a verdict and a certificate.
  2. No person reviews the project, and it is not consulting, advisory services, coaching, education or training.
  3. It is governed by the Checkpoint Purchase Terms, which prevail over these Terms for a Checkpoint.

8.3. Payment

  1. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it processes the payment, charges the taxes that apply, issues the receipt and handles order inquiries and returns. By paying, you also accept Paddle's Buyer Terms.
  2. Prices are shown before you pay. Paddle adds the taxes that apply in your country at checkout.
  3. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy and by mandatory consumer-protection rules, including the EU 14-day right of withdrawal where it applies.
  4. We may change prices or introduce new paid services. A change never applies to a purchase already paid for, and a new paid service is offered with its own terms shown before you pay.

9. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with or links to third-party services (analytics, authentication providers, the payment reseller, AI providers, chat, etc.). gdhub is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms.

10. Intellectual Property of gdhub

The Platform, its design, code, the "gdhub" name and logo, and all related materials are owned by Individual Entrepreneur Dzmitry Drynau or licensed to it. Except for the rights expressly granted to you in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you by your use of the Platform. You may not copy, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Platform without prior written consent.

11. Feedback

If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Platform, we may use them without any obligation or compensation to you. You confirm that any feedback you submit is non-confidential and is provided on a royalty-free basis.

12. Suspension and Termination

  1. You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time.
  2. We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Platform if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if your conduct poses a risk to other Users or to gdhub.
  3. Termination does not affect rights and obligations that, by their nature, are intended to survive (e.g. accrued payments, licences granted under Section 5.2 for content we are legally required to retain, sections 13–17).

13. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, gdhub disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Platform will always be available, secure, or error-free;
  • User Content (including project pages, vacancies, certificates, courses) is accurate, complete, or up to date;
  • Any collaboration formed via the Platform will result in a finished game, revenue, employment, or any other outcome.

You use the Platform at your own risk.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, gdhub, Individual Entrepreneur Dzmitry Drynau, its officers, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or game-development outcomes, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to gdhub in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) 100 USD.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable mandatory consumer-protection law.

15. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless gdhub, Individual Entrepreneur Dzmitry Drynau and its personnel from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your User Content; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right; or (d) your use of the Platform in a way not authorised by these Terms.

16. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material we will notify you through the Platform or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The version in force and the date it took effect are shown with this document.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Where you reside in the European Union, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protections of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
  2. The parties will first try to resolve any dispute amicably by contacting office@gdhub.io.
  3. If a dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it will be submitted to the competent courts at the registered seat of Individual Entrepreneur Dzmitry Drynau, unless mandatory law of your country of residence requires a different forum.
  4. Consumers resident in the European Union may also apply to the consumer-protection authority of their country of residence.

18. Miscellaneous

  1. Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, the Refund Policy and the terms of a paid service you buy, constitute the entire agreement between you and gdhub regarding the Platform.
  2. Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
  3. No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
  4. Assignment. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations to an affiliate or successor without your consent.
  5. Language. These Terms are provided in English. Translations are for convenience only; in case of discrepancy, the English version prevails.
